Día de los niños/Día de los libros – Day of the Child/Day of the Book (Día) is a national celebration observed annually in the spring. It brings families together and emphasizes the importance of literacy for every child, regardless of linguistic and cultural background.
Our event will take place in partnership with the City of Ceres at the Ceres Community Center on Thursday, April 25th, 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. The center is adjacent to the Ceres Library, 2701 Fourth Street. Doors will open at 3:00 p.m.
We will have the much anticipated and coveted visit of First 5 California’sFirst 5 Express! They will be providing a wealth of activities and resources for our families.
Equally anticipated, Honorable Congressman Josh Harder, District 10, will be reading to children and providing a book giveaway.
There will be service and nonprofit organizations providing activities and information for families.
In addition, please know all children who attend will receive a free new book courtesy of the Friends of the Library and the Stan READS! Initiative, while supplies last. Furthermore, as it is customary, we will feature a special Story Time program and craft.
